Cool show the last four I have been to. Lead sleds, hotrods and ratrods. I wanted to enter the oldz but don't know if I want to stay down there that long. The lady is out of town and I get bored quickly if I don't have my sober driver (parched throat syndrome). Ho hum, maybe next year.

Please say this is like cool old skidrow Larimer, like down the street Jack Kerouac Larimer where there's still some sketchy liquor stores and pawn shops. Like that lot just beyond El Chapultepec where you know maybe you've just crossed into not-so-safeland.
Hey, speaking of which, kids still hoon their motorcycles around Lodo in the dead of night? Or anyone still semi-legal street racing off-Broadway in the Design Center lots?

You at MSCD or UCD? Pro Tip: If you ever have the chance to take a UCD film class with Howie Movshovitz, do that thing up.

I'm trying to picture it... I guess I always associated lots of pawn shops with E. Colfax. Antique furniture south of Alameda... nasty porn stores north of Alameda...

12th and Lincoln's got Colfax right next door, so many drinking and music opportunities... Anyway, had a g/f who was a AI graduate—I'll admit that place has got a cool setup, going to school in a highrise.

Yes, so much stuff nearby. I go to the 16th street mall after class everyday. The building used to be a hotel, It even has a penthouse with an amazing view of the Denver skyline

A bit north of that. Of course- it is not really not-so-safe land anymore. More like H-I-P-S-T-E-R-S.

Haha. Boom and bust in Lodo, especially the closer you get to Park Ave or Brighton Blvd. It gets hip, it goes broke, restaurants rise, windows get boarded up.
Back before Flying Dog moved to Maryland, me and a buddy would ride our motorcycles down there to the brewery and it was even then (mid 2000s) still in flux, couldn't decide whether it would be scummy or gentrified. I took his exotic Triumph for a spin around the streets and, thanks DOT, was going at a good clip down Lawrence or wherever when suddenly there was no street, just pulverized concrete/asphalt, middle of the block, sorry bro no warning. So wild west sometimes. Miss it, even if Highlands and everything around it is ultrahipster now.
